CD Projekt RED’s gamble with Cyberpunk 2077 has been a sight to behold. While the launch of the title was anything but smooth sailing, suffering from numerous bugs and performance issues. The game also went through the controversy of the developers intentionally holding back the review for PS4 and Xbox One versions.
Naturally, with the game being unplayable on consoles and the PC release being buggy, players shifted to different games. However, the developers have been fixing the title with each patch.
Additionally, the anime by Studio Trigger, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, was released to critical acclaim and helped boost the title sales. Seeing the success, CD Projekt RED is now interested in producing more transmedia projects.
