SEGA’s Mega Drive, known as SEGA Genesis in the west, is a classic piece of console hardware. Before the Japanese company went out of the console manufacturing business, this console gave good competition to Nintendo in the west. the console also found widespread loyalty among the markets where Nintendo was either unattainable or unaffordable.

Unfortunately, apart from the random flea markets, or garage sales, getting a functioning SEGA Genesis is difficult. Fortunately, when the mini-consoles became popular in 2018-19, the company launched a pre-loaded, miniature playable system: SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive Mini. Housing around 40 titles, the mini-console was a moderate success in both the Japanese and Western markets.
With its successor, SEGA Genesis Mini 2/Mega Drive 2 gearing for its October 27 launch, the company officially announced all the games available on the console. Much like the original release, the Japanese and Western units will house separate titles from each other.
The new games announced are Party Quiz Mega Q 2022 (Japan only), Party Quiz Sega Q (Japan only) and Devil & Pii. On top of this, the console will receive new Mega Drive ports for Super Locomotive, Puyo Puyo Sun and Space Harrier 2.
