After last week’s leak, which revealed the existence of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family branding, Microsoft went official with the new plan and revealed more details in Ireland and Colombia.

The new subscription option for the service will let members share with up to four friends and family members. The plan starts at €21.99 per month in Ireland and 49,900 COP in Colombia.
According to Microsoft, they won’t restrict the new plan to just family members. The restriction will be regional, with people added to the service required to stay in the same country. It is currently only available in Ireland and Colombia, the countries they are testing it in. The new plan works out to €5 lesser per month per person.
In a FAQ by Microsoft, the company says, “Currently, we are piloting this plan in Colombia and the Republic of Ireland. Future countries/regions might be added in the next months.”
They haven’t announced the pricing for the rest of the world yet. However, Judging by the current pricing, the US plan should cost around $25 per month. The current offering is priced at $9.99 per month and $14.99 per month.
Furthermore, if one switches to the new plan, Microsoft will adjust the remaining time from the previous plan to:
- 30 days Ultimate = 18 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days Game Pass (Console) = 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days PC Game Pass = 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days Xbox Live Gold = 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days EA Play = 6 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
