Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is preparing for its October release date slowly, but surely. The sequel to 2018’s Modern Warfare and reboot of 2008’s game of the same name, the title’s bringing back some of the fan-favourite characters.
With the pre-orders open for the game, the developers want more people to get it. As such, they are making the pre-order incentives better.
Earlier, pre-ordering the game before the release gave players a chance to play the closed betas. Now, if one pre-orders the title, owners will get to play the campaign one week earlier than others.

The campaign’s early access for digital pre-orders will go live on October 20. letting players complete the single-player experience before the full release. The promotion only applies to digital pre-orders on Xbox, PlayStation, Battle.net, and Steam.
Earlier, Activision confirmed that the game’s beta will be available on PlayStation first as a long-running exclusive deal with the company. An open beta will also take place on all platforms at a later date.
For now, the publisher is gearing up for a digital event on September 15, where they will reveal more details regarding Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, and the mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone.
