The original Destiny has been a fan-requested game for a long on PC. This game was originally released for consoles and PC players were left out. However, the sequel to the game has been published for PC and consoles both, fans still wished for the first.
After the latest updates on PS3 emulators, the game has been successfully ported to run on PC in a sort of way. The game still has some visual glitches, however, it is playable on the PC platform if they are ignored. Recently footage was shared showing Destiny 1 running on PC via RPCS3 emulator, which shows a promising future.
Destiny 1 runs on PC using the RPCS3 emulator
Destiny 1 features a lot of good-looking armor designs, weapons, and activities like Sparrow Racing. The sequel misses out on a few of these features, however, does arrive with gameplay improvements. Thus, fans wished to have the fun time that D1 provided.
It is highly unlikely Bungie will dedicate their time to port the game to PC after finding success with the new iteration. But players do have the option to enjoy the game using the RPCS3 emulator and V4NGUARD. Now, it should be kept in mind that the game is snappy while playing on the emulator. The reason for this is that it is still a work-in-progress project.

Additionally, Rise of Iron DLC is also not available on the emulated version of the game, which comes as a turn-down to fans. This fact can see a drastic change in the near future as the development of emulators is slowly reaching a stable point.
Players can enjoy the game by getting hold of an old-gen console for cheap and trying it. Destiny 1 is available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The title isn’t available on newer gen consoles for very obvious reasons.
