Earlier last week, EA teased an imminent reveal of their next Need for Speed title. Due set to happen today, the new title was originally confirmed back in May. Later on, Tom Henderson came forward, revealing that the release might happen by December of this year.
Somehow early images for Need for Speed Unbound, the next title, leaked online last night before today’s reveal. The leak, which happened because Japanese retailer Neowing listed the game early, gives us a look at the title.

Five sets of screenshots got leaked. The first one looks to be the cover art for Need for Speed Unbound, looking very comic-book-inspired. The rest of the screenshot shows us a few in-game shots.

The four screenshots show us the brand-new art style the developers are introducing to the title. Seemingly, the game will feature a mix between polygonal cars and environments and cel-shaded characters. The characters specifically look very inspired by animes.
Judging that the images look very elaborate to be fake and that they leaked from a retailer’s website, there is no doubt that these are actual screenshots. Only time will tell if the screenshots are true.
Need For Speed by EA is a well-cherished legacy franchise. The arcade racing series has spawned numerous sequels over the years. Unfortunately, the games have gone through some good and bad changes. Currently, various Need for Speed titles is on sale throughout various platforms.
