Persona is by far one of the biggest JRPG franchises in the world. The Atlus-developed RPG has become a worldwide phenomenon for its gameplay, characters and music. Part of the reason for this blowup also goes to the fourth and the latest entry, Persona 5 Royale.

While the three Persona games are gearing up for their release on Xbox and PC, starting with Persona 5 next month, Atlus has more events planned around it. One of them is a concert from Persona Super Live P-Sound 2022. Naturally, fan expectations went high, with many expecting a new Persona title announcement. However, Atlus came forward and requested everyone to temper their expectations.
In a statement on Persona Channel (which is in Japanese), the company writes (via VGC) “Please note that there will be no announcement of new game titles at this live event.”
The upcoming concert, taking place in Japan, will feature many musicians and voice actors who worked on the titles performing for the audience.
It makes sense for the fanbase to get excited about the concert, seeing the last mainline title being Persona 5 from 2016. Hopefully, we’ll get some news regarding the next game soon. For now, it seems Atlus is enjoying the moderate success they experienced with their new JRPG Soul Hackers 2 this month.
