Silent Hill 2 is widely regarded as one of the prominent horror titles and video games. The horror game developed by Team Silent in Konami is known for its atmosphere, storyline and spine-tingling soundtrack.
While the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team is a few years away, PC gamers can enjoy the original PS2 experience. A few modders came together years back and started a project to fix the PC version of Silent Hill 2.

Dubbed Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition, the mods fix the PC port, bringing improvements synonymous with modern gaming titles. Some of them include proper widescreen support, better audio options and more.
While the previous mod update brought in improved sound options, the upcoming update plans on adding another feature new to the title. The member Mercury501 made a mod which seemingly adds full mouse support to the title.

The original port only had the option of a controller and keyboard, with zero mouse support. However, the upcoming update will allow players to control James using a mouse. A quick overview video by the team showcases the mod.
As per the video, the mod will allow users to control the camera of James in the 3D-tank environment. Left-clicking on an item will allow players to interact with the world while right-clicking ready for a weapon. Holding right-click and pressing left-click will allow players to use a weapon.
Goes without saying that the effort put into making the mod is phenomenal and commendable. To download the Enhanced Edition mod, players need to visit the official mod website. Of course, an original PC copy of Silent Hill 2 is a must to try the mod. Unfortunately, the game isn’t currently available on any platform. We won’t help pinpoint the exact place to get the PC version, but a google search should help.
