“It Takes Two” has taken the gaming world by storm with its unique and engaging co-op gameplay. Players control the two main characters, Cody and May, as they navigate through a whimsical world filled with challenges and obstacles. The game has received critical acclaim for its story, gameplay, and design, but what if you’ve already completed the game and are itching for more co-op adventures? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with our top picks for games like “It Takes Two.”

1. Overcooked 2

“Overcooked 2” is the ultimate cooking challenge for players who want to put their co-op skills to the test! The game is a fast-paced, frenzied cooking simulation that will keep you on your toes. With the new feature of throwing ingredients, you can even toss food across the kitchen in a true culinary feat! The graphics are so vibrant and playful that they make Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen look dull in comparison.

The game truly shines when played with your friends or family members. The chaos of the kitchen turns up to 11 as you try to work together to cook meals under a ticking clock. It’s a recipe for both fun and disaster! But beware, the difficulty level can get so high that it might just leave you with an egg on your face. Precise coordination between players is required, and the game can be a little tricky to pick up at first, with no tutorial mode to guide you.

2. A Way Out

“A Way Out” throws players into the shoes of two jailbirds, Leo and Vincent, who must put their differences aside to break out of the clink. Leo’s got a wife and kid waiting for him on the outside, while Vincent is a straight-shooting, no-nonsense kinda guy looking to clear his name. The game’s visuals are so life-like you might mistake it for a movie. The sound design is equally impressive, with an emotional soundtrack and voice acting that’ll hit you right in the feels.

But watch out, as the game’s controls can be a little wonky, and the camera angles can make you dizzy. While the story is engaging, it can feel a tad predictable at times, and the game’s length is on the shorter side. All in all, A Way Out is a jailbreak adventure that’s worth the time spent, especially if you’ve got a friend to bust out with.

3. Divinity: Original Sin 2

Prepare to dive into the immersive and fantastical world of Rivellon, where humans, elves, and dwarves live in harmony, well, sort of. The game “Divinity: Original Sin 2” starts with your character, a Sourcerer, being locked up in a prison camp on Fort Joy Island. Your mission is to break free from the island and uncover the truth about the source of your magic.

This role-playing game is a true masterpiece that rewards players with its complexity and challenge. With an array of spells, abilities, and equipment at your disposal, the combat system is both intense and rewarding. The game’s character creation system is also top-notch, allowing you to fully customize your character’s attributes, skills, and appearance to your liking.

4. Portal 2

Step into the world of Aperture Science and become Chell, a test subject on a mission to conquer challenging test chambers filled with obstacles and puzzles. The game’s star is the AI antagonist, GLaDOS, who provides a unique twist to the traditional villain.

“Portal 2” is the pinnacle of puzzle gaming, providing an immersive experience that combines complex problem-solving with a captivating story and stunning graphics. However, beware, as the game’s puzzles can be notoriously difficult, which might not be for everyone. But, if you’re willing to take on the challenge, “Portal 2” will undoubtedly provide a sense of satisfaction once you solve each level.

5. Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends is like a colorful and vibrant dream come to life, where you play as Rayman and his quirky friends to stop an army of the Dark Teensies from ruining the Glade of Dreams. This platformer game is packed with fun challenges and obstacles that will keep you on your toes as you run, jump, and glide through various levels. Along the way, you’ll collect Lums to upgrade your abilities and rescue cute little Teensies.

The game’s music levels are an absolute blast, where you’ll find yourself jumping to the beat and grooving to the rhythm. The multiplayer mode is perfect for some friendly competition with your pals, and the co-op mode allows you to work together to complete levels. Rayman Legends is a perfect example of a platformer done right, with its charming graphics, playful soundtrack, and fun gameplay that will have you grinning from ear to ear.
