The Silent Hill series might finally see its resurgence very soon. Earlier, there were multiple reports of two Silent Hill titles actively in development. One of them is made by Bloober Team and is a Silent Hill 2 remake. The other is an episodic horror game by a studio under Annapurna Interactive.

Well, one of those two titles seemingly leaked through the cracks. As spotted by Gematsu, The South Korean Game Rating committee rated a title, named Silent Hill: Short Message. The information behind the rating of this mysterious title is scarce.
However, we know that UNIANA was listed as a publisher for the title. This company helps Konami to publish its titles in South Korea. Konami’s free-to-play football game, eFootball 2023, also got listed by Korean game ratings, with UNIANA taking publishing duties. Maybe Silent Hill: The Short Message is the episodic horror game made by the team at Annapurna Interactive.
It is worth mentioning that game rating are not indicative of the actual game seeing a release. However, past occurrences of similar nature have, for the most part, always turned out to be true. A few weeks back, an ESRB listing of RGG Studios’ Judgment leaked the title’s PC release.
Many love and adore the famed horror series Silent Hill. The Konami-developed title would spawn numerous sequels and even movies throughout its existence. Unfortunately, in recent times, the series has gone through stagnation because of Konami’s strange decisions.
Konami shelved the much-anticipated revival by Hideo Kojima, called Silent Hills. Furthermore, with their focus entirely shifting to Pachinko and the mobile market, the series saw a total decline. Fortunately, with the company focusing on proper gaming, we might see a revival soon. After all, there are enough proofs of the existence of a revival in the works. The real question is, when will it get revealed?
