Everyone can agree that DICE dropped the ball on Battlefield 2042 pretty hard. With a disappointing launch, not enough communication between the developers and community and slow updates, players and the community are naturally frustrated. However, DICE is trying to change that, releasing updates and listening to the community.

With the September update for the shooter adding in a reworked map, some new weapons and more fixes, DICE and EA have more plans to revive the player base. The publisher announces the arrival of the title on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play. The addition will coincide with the launch of Battlefield 2042’s third season launch.
EA Play is a subscription service by EA and comes bundled with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Furthermore, EA plans on hosting a free Battlefield 2042 access period on all platforms from December. The dates are as follows:
- PC: December 1 – December 5
- Xbox: December 1 – December 4
- PlayStation: December 16 – December 23
Furthermore, EA confirmed of the game receiving more content in the upcoming months. Earlier, the publisher confirmed the title receiving four seasons of live content. Currently, Battlefield 2042 is in its second season.
Battlefield 2042 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
