The game is set on Erlin’s Eye, a ruined space station. The player plays as a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body. This artificial body is owned by a corporation that wants the player back. In order to survive, one would need to build friendships, earn their keep, and navigate the factions of this space station.
The Steam Page for the Citizen Sleeper says that the Free DLC Flux will kick off a new story arc that will play out across all three episodes. Furthermore, it also says that it would expand the wider narrative of the Helion System, the star system in which the Eye orbits.
