Though the E3 won’t be a thing this year, Geoff Keighley hosted Summer Game Fest will serve as a replacement. With tons of studios partaking in the event, everyone is looking forward to showcasing their next big game.
With that said, Devolver Digital announced that they are participating in this year’s Summer Game Fest. Much like every year, this year’s showcase will feature a storyline and a wacky one at nature.
Suda51 Will Host The Devolver Digital’s Devolver Direct 2022
This year’s Devolver Digital showcase will go live on Thursday, June 9, at 3 PM Pacific Time. Following last year, the Devolver Digital Direct will continue the long-running plot that consists of a lot of blood, meta humour, and game announcements.
What is interesting to note is that prolific Japanese Developer and industry veteran Suda51 will host the show. Fans of both of them know that Suda51 loves the work of Devolver, so it makes sense for him to agree to do this.
Devolver also shared the plot for this year’s event, which goes as follows:
A clueless team of Devolver Digital execs, scrambling to produce a presentation, accidentally trigger a reality-bending, industry-wide event that threatens the very fabric of video game time and space.
It will be interesting to see if Suda51 and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture are teaming up with Devolver Digital to launch their future title. For now, have a look at the teaser trailer down below.
