Many people were shocked when Gungrave Gore was revealed a few years back. The South Korean action game is the third entry in the cult-classic PlayStation 2 title. Naturally, given its over-the-top nature, many people are waiting for its launch.
A few weeks ago, numerous Twitter users from Europe noticed the mention of the game on an Xbox Game Pass newsletter. This sparked speculations about whether the game will arrive in the subscription service. Interestingly, this happened only in the European markets, maybe because of Gamescom.

It seems the leaks were true, as Xbox announced the title heading to Game pass day one. Bobby Jung-Wook, business development manager at Studio Iggymob said:
“We’re delighted to announce today that players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S will be able to play the legendary antihero badass gunslinger in Gungrave Gore on day one with Xbox Game Pass (Console, PC, Cloud) starting November 22, 2022.”
The game will simultaneously launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
Gungrave Gore is the sequel to 2002’s Gungrave and 2004’s Gungrave: Overdose for PlayStation 2. The third-person action game follows Beyond the Grave, an undead gunslinger. The newest entry sees players trying to get rid of the world of the drug SEED and subdue the Raven Clan, its suppliers.
This is one of the few multi-platform games coming to Xbox Game Pass on the release date. Funcom’s Metal Hellsinger is another example of a game releasing day one on the subscription service.
