Earlier, 2K Games commented that the XCOM studio-developed title Marvel’s Midnight Suns skipping its release date. Originally slated to release in March 2022, the game would get pushed to October 2022. Unfortunately, the studio preferred skipping the release date. Last month, 2K games announced that the title will see a release in March 2023. The reason- focus on polishing and give Firaxis more time to make the game.
It seems 2K Games and Firaxis want the Marvel fans to try the game out this year. Last night at the Disney Marvel showcase, the developers announced the title’s release date. And surprisingly enough, it is this year, with a catch.

As per the new trailer, Marvel’s Midnight Suns will release on December 2, 2022. The decision is surprising, given that the publisher confirmed a 2023 release date. However, the catch is that this release date is only for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series consoles. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions of the title will release later.
The reason for the release in December might be because the team originally wanted to simultaneously release all the versions of the game at the same time in March 2023. That should explain why only the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC versions are seeing an earlier release and not the last-gen versions.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is an upcoming card-based tactical strategy game, set in the Marvel universe. The game put players in the shoes of a new, fully customizable original hero: The Hunter. They join the likes of Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Captain America and others to stop her mother, Lilith, from causing destruction. The pre-orders for the title are live, and doing so will net players a skin for Doctor Strange.
Firaxis is developing the title. For people who don’t know, they are the same people responsible for creating the well-known turn-based tactical game series XCOM, Civilization and many other classics.
