It seems the franchise is ready to make its triumphant return after years of silence (via VGC). Recently, the Chinese Studio Virtuous uploaded a recruitment video for the Montreal studio.
In it, around the 1:11-minute mark, we see a Metal Gear Solid artbook sitting on the table of the concept artist.
Normally this might seem like just an artist appreciating the art of the game. However, this particular situation is interesting for one sole reason. Earlier, VGC reported that Virtuous is seemingly working on a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. Judging that the art book is on the concept artist’s desk at Virtuous, it reaffirms those claims.
With the company focus shifting to other avenues and Metal Gear Survive performing below expectations, the series went into stagnation over the years. However, Konami has slowly started to work on reviving its legacy titles.
Earlier, Konami announced their Silent Hill revival projects, with four games currently in work at various studios. Previously, many sources confirmed that a Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid revival is also in the works at various studios.
