F1 Manager 2022 by Frontier Developments was the first title in the F1 Manager series after a decade. The sequel to EA F1 Manager from 2000, F1 Manager 2022 launched on August 30. Bringing in various simulation and managerial features, the game allowed F1 fans to live the experience of managing a race team.

Unfortunately, it seems Frontier Developments will end support for F1 Manager 2022 very soon. The developers announced the information through a post on the official F1 Manager Reddit.

In the post, the developers confirmed that support for the game will stop after the next major update launch. The upcoming update will address many player-reported problems. These include various visual updates to the car models, positive changes to fuel usage issues and more.

Frontier Developments said that the reason for them to stop support for F1 Manager 2022 is so that the team could focus on the next title. They did clarify that they will continue supporting the title in terms of updates. However, the game will not receive any significant additions.

” ensure upcoming F1 Manager projects realise their potential and meet the expectations of both our team and our community, the development team’s focus must move fully onto projects beyond F1 Manager 2022, after this upcoming update,” read the post.

Naturally, the news received a lot of negative reception from the community. Many claimed that they felt burned by the developers for leaving the game. Taking the release date into consideration, the title is losing its support within two months of release. It is a strange decision since other companies support their sports title for at least a year before releasing a new title.
