In addition to making video games, there are various methods to generate cash in the video game industry. eSports is one of many options available, with a variety of arenas, groups, and so on, that allows skilled gamers to make a ton of cash. Esports, on the other hand, are often debated over how “esports-like” they are and if they can be compared to pro athletes.

Shaquille O’Neal has voiced his thoughts on the subject, which suggests that it is unlikely to be resolved any time soon. Shaq is widely regarded as one of the best centers in NBA history and seeing him speak about esports and professional athletes just adds fuel to the fire. That’s basically what Shaq is saying: He feels that professional athletes are just like the rest of us.

Where This Happened

Full Squad Gaming’s Lucky approached Chuck about this recently in an online conversation. Aside from saying he believes competitive esports gamers are sportsmen, Shaq elaborated on the topic. While an athlete might imply many various things in terms of physical appearance, he pointed to his forehead and stated, “Athlete means here.” When it comes to physical activity, it’s all about the psychological element.

On Shaq Versus, he spoke about how difficult it was to compete with Dale Earnhardt and also to take a dip with Michael Phelps in a competition of their favorite sports. He has a lot of expertise with esports and sports, although he stated he “can’t accomplish what [pro-Esports gamers] can.

For all of their hard work, Shaq says he is pleased with his Esports athletes and recognizes the challenges they face. Because of the physical and emotional exhaustion, an esports player’s “lifespan” is comparable to that of an NFL or NBA player, at 5-6 years at best, according to him. There are a lot of streams that used to compete in esports but have since stopped because of the same reasons.

In light of the growing popularity of esports, Shaq’s sentiments are likely to be shared by many more people. The growth of esports shows no signs of abating. Whatever the case, the potential of esports is promising and is likely to sustain its pace in the next decades, be it groups like 100 Thieves or professional shooting, combat, etc, or universities giving esports scholarships.
