Silent Hill by Konami is one of the most widely loved horror titles. Known for its grungy art style, psychological horror themes and a soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka, the title became a well-regarded videogame of all time. Unfortunately, the series has gone through stagnation for various reasons.
It seems, however, that multiple projects are indeed under work. In a recent interview with the French Youtube Channel Movie and Game (MaG), Director Christophe Gans claims that various Silent Hill titles are indeed in development.

Gans worked on the 2006 movie based on the horror series. He is also reportedly working on the script for a new production. ResetEra users translated the portion of the conversation where Gans confirmed the existence.
“I’m working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak,” Gans said. “There are several teams on it, with a huge line of games that will revive the franchise. I think they were impressed with the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are exceptional games.”
Over the years, multiple rumours of a revival and sequel for the title have always crept up. Reportedly, a Silent Hill 2 is being worked by Bloober Studios. On the other hand, an episodic videogame is worked on by a development studio under Annapurna Interactive.
Multiple pre-production screenshots also leaked online a few months ago, seemingly from the in-production Silent Hill 2 remake.
