The ease and relaxation of being ever-ready, the feeling of control in our hands, the grip that we feel while holding our Nintendo Switch. And what is better than a racing game to utilize all of that on. So, here’s a list of the top 5 racing games to play on Nintendo Switch.

5. Grid Autosport

The first full-on driving simulator game on switch. Grid Autosport is one of the best racing games out there on the switch. Grid Autosport has 5 different racing modes – touring, endurance, tuner, open-wheel, and street racing, for an extra layer of realism you can construct your steering wheel using Nintendo Labo. These features have been proven successful in engaging racing fans.

Grid Autosport has a Metacritic score of 79.

4. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled

One of the most loved cart racing games of all time. The full use of drift boosting to try and take home the gold is hard to pull off. The game is easy to learn but very difficult to master and this keeps bringing players back to the game. And beware of the shortcuts, if you mess it up it will cost you your lead. Also, the game is very much detailed, it has over 50 characters, containing every famous character from the original CTR version.

The famous bandicoot racing with his furry friends has earned the game a Metacritic score of 80 points.

3. Fast RMX

Fast RMX is the switch’s earliest racing game. With its futuristic concept and high-speed racing experience, a split-second difference distinguishes the winner from the losers in this lightning-fast game. This game has a good grip on the market. Additionally, it can be played online with friends which makes it even more interesting. Speed through 30 challenging stages with 15 unlockable vehicles.

Fast RMX has a Metacritic score of 81 points

2. Horizon Chase Turbo

And the runner-up is Horizon Chase Turbo. HCT is a surprisingly long game with great graphics and an amazing soundtrack. The developers have filled the game with dozens of cars and a lot of locations to race into. Especially, the greatest attraction of this game is that it attacks your nostalgia. Yeah! HCT gives out the vibe of the old racing games which we all loved.

HCT has a Metacritic score of 82 points.

1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a kart racing game but its reviews are off the charts. This game has received love in every racing game category. MK8D is the expanded version of Mario Kart 8 but the deluxe version has snatched the spot because of the heavy upgrade it received. MK8D has every Mario character you can think of, and its visuals and controls have improved. And best of all the game has added 8 new maps.

MK8D on Nintendo Switch has been successful in targeting its audience. Till 31st December 2021, the game has sold over 43 million copies worldwide, and hence, deserves the top spot on our list.

MK8D has a Metacritic score of 92 points.
