In previous weeks, many game businesses were the targets of hacks, including the French Developer Ubisoft. To Ubisoft’s credit, with exception of other organizations that have suffered data breaches, no personally identifiable data has yet been publicly disclosed.

After a major breach that culminated in the exposure of staff information, Nvidia was also targeted. If its requirements were not granted, the hacking collective Lapsus$ threatened to leak the personal information of virtually all of Nvidia’s workers, and over 71,000 people’s login passwords were exposed when the attackers opted to reveal certain data irrespective of whether or not they were granted the money.

No Pivotal Company And User Data Was Leaked

Fortunately for Ubisoft, it appears that the firm’s firewall was breached, but no vital corporate accord has been disclosed to the world as of now. Just a few Ubisoft videogames as well as related applications appeared to be impacted by the issue. All of Ubisoft’s credentials have indeed been changed as a preventative step once the problem was resolved, according to the firm.

Unknown as to which of its titles had been impacted by this bug, Ubisoft today says they’re all working as planned. According to the firm, there has been no proof of any gamer data being released as of yet. Sadly, that wasn’t the scenario with Twitch, which had been a victim of a cyberattack sometime in 2021. Twitch’s data breach exposed compiled code, credentials, and even credit card numbers and expiration dates.

This week, Assassin’s Creed: Dawn of Ragnarok was published, and the game’s achievements checklist was revealed a week in advance. Ubisoft’s security might have been in jeopardy after such occurrences. That’s a good thing since the more latest intrusion has apparently prompted a serious investigation into the matter by top outside specialists.

Ubisoft

For the first time, Ubisoft has unveiled a scheme that allows players to try out preliminary versions of the title. If the recent hack the corporation has been subjected to reveals anything concerning the future release, it’ll be an intriguing watch. Even if this hack was as minimal as it seems, further crucial data about the firm and its future initiatives might yet be released.
