Many consider Naughty Dog’s third-person action-adventure game The Last of Us to be one of the greatest. And for good reasons. Containing memorable characters, a good story in post-apocalyptic America, and decent gameplay, many adore it.
Back in June, Naughty Dog announced a new remake for the title. Packing new visuals and gameplay from The Last of Us Part 2, the remake looks nothing but stellar. With the game slated to launch this year, one may expect the game to have steady development.

Fortunately, the news is nothing but positive, with Naughty Dog confirming that the game has gone gold. Posting on their official Twitter, the developers shared the information of the videogame finishing its development, thanking all the studios and PlayStation.

For the uninitiated, a title going gold means that the final version of the game has finished its development and is sent away for replication. The game functions and works as intended, and the developers will deliver future features for the game through launch patches.
The Last of Us Part 1 will launch for PlayStation 5 on September 2, 2022. A PC version of the game is also in development.
