World of Warcraft has always been a game that knows how to keep things fresh and interesting for its players. And with the release of Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, the game is once again upping its game. One of the most exciting additions to the game in this patch is the hilarious new Snail Racing mini-game. Yes, you read that right – snail racing! It may not be the fastest-paced activity, but it promises plenty of fun and laughter as players compete to earn new rewards.
But that’s not all that Embers of Neltharion has in store. The patch is also introducing a brand new subterranean zone called Zaralek Cavern, which is set to expand the already vast world of Warcraft even further. In this new zone, players will encounter several native species, including the Niffen Renown faction and the bulky Drogbar, who were first introduced in the Legion expansion. With all these new additions, players can look forward to an even more immersive and exciting gaming experience in the world of Azeroth.
It introduces a thrilling new activity–snail racing! In the depths of Zaralek Cavern lies a subterranean wonderland full of strange creatures, including the bulky Drogbar and a new faction called the Niffen Renown. But the highlight of this underground wonderland is undoubtedly the not-so-fast-paced snail racing game.
Players now have the chance to participate in the weekly quest that features four speedy snails: Brulee, Tricky, Bashful, and Roggy. But beware–the racetrack is fraught with danger, and it’s up to you to keep your snail safe from attackers who’ll do anything to prevent them from crossing the finish line. You can boost your chosen snail’s speed with delicious treats, defend it against rival racers, and guide it to victory.

But the best part? Winning the event will reward you with a unique battle pet of the victorious snail. And if you don’t come in the first place, don’t worry – you can still earn the other three snails as battle pets in the subsequent weeks.
In addition to the snail racing mini-game, there is an exciting new NPC named Briggul in the Zaralek Cavern of World of Warcraft’s Embers of Neltharion patch. Briggul is a Drogbar who is closely linked with a new reputation faction called the Glimmerogg Racers. This faction has five different ranks, which players can progress through by earning reputation via daily quests and by showing Briggul unique level 25 snail battle pets earned from other areas of the game. While it is not yet confirmed, there is speculation that Briggul may also grant a reputation for slug pets, though players will need to wait and see if this is the case.
As players progress through the Glimmerogg Racer reputation ranks, they are rewarded with unique cosmetic items and toys, including snail-themed armor and a snail-shaped backpack. But perhaps the most coveted reward is the Big Slick mount, a bright pink snail that can be achieved by meeting the Snailed It quest. This quest requires players to navigate the twisting tunnels of Zaralek Cavern and make deliveries to various locations across the zone. While riding the Big Slick Mount may look hilarious and entertaining, it moves at the same speed as walking, making the experience both amusing and frustrating at the same time.
