Alan Wake 2 by Remedy Entertainment is one of the hotly anticipated horror titles by the community. The sequel to Alan Wake, the game will see the return of the fiction writer Alan Wake after twelve years. Fans have been asking for a sequel to the title for a long while. After the success of Remedy’s Control and the company getting back the IP, they announced it last year at The Game Awards.
Unfortunately, any news regarding the title is minuscule. Remedy confirmed that a lot of work is left for them to show anything properly. Fortunately, thanks to a recent financial briefing, we get to hear some updates regarding Alan Wake 2.

The title still plans for a 2023 release, as initially announced. Moreover, the project is in full production without any problems. Remedy says that even though the game has work left, the title is slowly coming together. They are currently user-testing the title, and feedback from user research is positive.
“There is still a lot of work to be done, but the game is coming together on all fronts,” reads the reports. “User testing continues, and the feedback from the user research has been encouraging. After seeing how the elements are coming together, I’m confident we will launch an excellent game.”
The update regarding the title ends right there. However, it is reassuring that the game is going through a great development cycle. Alan Wake 2 will hopefully launch for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. We can also see a Nintendo Switch release in Cloud Gaming format.
In other Remedy-related news, the Finnish developers are going back to their roots. Earlier this year, the company confirmed on working on Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes with Rockstar Games.
