Turtle Rock Studio developed Back 4 Blood might not have experienced the popularity of games like Left 4 Dead, but it hasn’t stopped the developers to release new content. After a long while, the game will receive content tomorrow.

The new DLC expansion, called Children of the Worm, is the next major DLC for the first-person co-op zombie shooter. The developers released a new launch trailer to accompany the news.

The video showcases brand-new story campaign elements getting added to the game through the DLC. Players take part in an epic showdown with a new enemy called The Cultists. They are a deranged group of humans fighting for the rise of the Ridden.

To counter the cultists, the DLC introduces a new playable cleaner. Called “Prophet” Dan, he is a gun-toting, self-proclaimed preacher of the end times. He comes with reviving abilities to give teams a fighting chance. The new DLC also contains eight exclusive character skins and 12 exclusive weapons skins. It will also contain new weapons, accessories and cards.

The DLC will be part of Back 4 Blood Annual Pass, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition and Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition. It will also be purchasable as a standalone purchase.

Back 4 Blood is a first-person co-op zombie shooter. It takes place after a catastrophic outbreak, where most of humanity has either been killed or infected by the parasitic Devil Worm. The game is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, and PC.
