Everyone can agree on the fact that DICE dropped the ball on Battlefield 2042 pretty hard. With a disappointing launch, not enough communication between the developers and community and slow updates, players and the community are naturally frustrated. However, DICE is trying to change that, releasing updates and listening to the community.

Similarly, it seems like they are going to improve how the game functions altogether. As per a post by Tom Henderson, Battlefield 2042 will finally feature a class system in the game for season 2.
What is unfortunate is that DICE is introducing the feature 12 months later into the game, but better late than never. The new class system will still feature the specialists from the game but may restrict certain features.

Additionally, season 2 will also improve the looks of the specialists, update the Renewal and Orbital maps, and introduce new maps. Interestingly, DICE hasn’t officially confirmed these claims yet. Judging by the image, however, it seems the news should go official pretty soon.
