It seems EA has started launching the mobile version of Battlefield for some regions. Earlier, EA confirmed that they are actively creating a portable mobile edition for their multiplayer FPS.

The game is currently available to download in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. These five regions are big on mobile gaming, which makes sense for the publisher to launch the title. For other regions, they can start pre-registering.

As per the official FAQ, we get a little more information regarding the title. The current launch is an open-beta launch. It is a free-to-play title and features unique battle passes, cosmetics and unlockables.

EA also confirms that any purchasable items in the game are cosmetic only and do not impact gameplay in any way. Battlefield Mobile will also not feature cross-play and cross-progression.

Furthermore, the game will feature the four classes synonymous with Battlefield games – Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon. The game also features traditional modes like Conquest and Rush. There will also be multiple progress resets throughout the beta.

The minimum specs to play the title are as follows:

  • Android 8.0 or later
  • Snapdragon 835 or better
  • Exynos 9 (8895) or better
  • At least 3 GB RAM
  • At least 2 GB of storage space
  • 64-bit system only

Battlefield Mobile is being developed by Industrial Toys, led by Alex Seropian. in 2018, EA acquired the studio.
