Activision officially launched Warzone Caldera, which is essentially the original Warzone, relaunched. However, it has some small caveats which separate it from the actual Warzone 2 experience. With the release of Warzone 2, the original Warzone was officially removed from the game.
The catch is that Caldera comes in the form of a stripped-back Warzone version. Warzone Caldera offers a standard battle royale playlist including solos and quads.

The game modes end there, meaning players cannot play Plunder or limited-time modes in Caldera. The new version also doesn’t include Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.
Additionally, Warzone Caldera doesn’t contain an in-game game store. Furthermore, the skins from Warzone 2 are also not usable in the title. However, COD points are transferrable between the game and Warzone 2.
Activision talked about the same (via VGC).
“Player progression, cross-progression for XP and Weapon XP, inventories, Battle Pass content, weapons, Store Bundles, and other purchases from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Vanguard will be accessible only within Warzone Caldera (and within their respective games),” the company said.
Warzone 2 launched on November 16 on every platform, seeing 25 million players trying the title in its first five days. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
