Summer 2023 is right around the corner, and the advent of Final Fantasy 16 is closer than expected. The next entry in the long-running JRPG series by Square Enix sees players play through one of the darkest entries in the series.
Furthermore, the title will feature gameplay previously seen in Final Fantasy 15 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
With the release date reveal imminent, it seems Square Enix is all set to reveal the release date of the title (via VGC). Sistema de Classificação Indicativa Brasileiro, responsible for rating interactive media in the country, has officially rated the upcoming RPG.

The authority body considers the game to not be recommended for children under 16. The reason for the rating attributes to the game having sexual content, sensitive issues and violence.
Historically, games getting rated only means that the publisher is ready to reveal the release date. However, it is worth noting that this doesn’t confirm anything until Square Enix officially announces a release date for Final Fantasy 16.
Earlier, a PlayStation 5 advertisement sparked discussions of the upcoming JRPG to be a PS5 exclusive for six months. Furthermore, Naoki Yoshida recently spoke about the reason for the title excluding PoC characters.
Final Fantasy 16, for now, will launch in the Summer of 2023 for PlayStation 5. It is the sixteenth entry in the long-running JRPG franchise by Square Enix.
