As of the end of the day on January 18 (11:59 pm PT), Google Stadia will no longer be accessible. Google stated in September 2022 that it would be discontinuing its streaming games platform due to low user interest. Fans of Stadia on Reddit and Discord, meanwhile, are organizing send-off bashes.
PC Gamer reports that a question was recently posed on the subreddit r/Stadia, seeking suggestions for a fitting last dance game. Games like GRID, as well as Sniper Elite, were recommended, both of which can be found on Stadia Pro. Some other common ideas were to play Red Dead Redemption 2 or to visit the ghost town of Armadillo for a cocktail.

Google also declared that it would be giving consumers money back in the event of a shutdown. Given this, Google will reimburse close to $675 million, and this refund procedure started in the first week of November.
Many gamers were frightened by Stadia’s abrupt revelation and scrambled to save their game progress, but developers such as Bungie, Ubisoft, and IO Interactive quickly stepped in to help. That these creators learned about the closure at the same time as gamers came as a surprise.
One article said that the cloud gaming business would expand even after the departure of Stadia. It’s expected that Netflix will launch its very own cloud game platform, joining the ranks of Xbox Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna, and Nvidia GeForce Now in competition with Stadia.
