Gears of War fans are in for some pleasurable news after a long time. The cover-based third-person shooter by Epic Games and later The Coalition popularized the genre with the first entry. Later entries gained reception for their strong storytelling and brilliant co-op gameplay.
While the last proper Gears of War title was Gears 5 by The Coalition, we haven’t gotten much out of the series. Fans did get a tactical game called Gears: Tactics, but it wasn’t a definite experience. Out of nowhere, the streaming giant Netflix last night came in to announce their partnership with the IP.

Netflix hasn’t shared when these projects will go into production, but we can expect more news soon.
Earlier, actor and professional wrestler Dave Bautista showed his interest in portraying Marcus Fenix in any live-action Gears of War movie. Later on, he’d feature as a playable character in Gears 5.
Gears 5 is currently available to purchase on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility. The title is also playable on Xbox Game Pass for Consoles and PC.
