Sea of Stars is an upcoming turn-based RPG by Sabotage Studio. After a successful Kickstarter, the developers have been slowly but surely showcasing the various features the game will contain.

With numerous videos released by the team, including a look at the various areas, camping, traversal and more, Sabotage Studio showcases another new feature in Sea of Stars.

The new video, titled “boosting”, showcases the boosting feature which the game will contain. In boosting, players hitting enemies with the normal attack will generate “live mana.” This can get absorbed by the character in up to three stacks. Each stack will add a portion to that particular character’s magic attack to their next action. This will make the upcoming attack stronger since it deals that character’s magic damage even if they are out of mana points.

This feature is very relevant to the game, as it allows players to strategize and perform better on the battlefield.

Sea of Stars is an upcoming RPG by Sabotage Studio. Inspired by JRPGs like Final Fantasy, the upcoming title will feature beautiful pixel art, a day/night cycle, old-school gameplay, camping and more. Yasunori Mitsuda, the composer for JRPGs like Chrono Trigger, and Xenoblade, among others, will make music for the game. Furthermore, this title serves as a prequel to Sabotage Studios’ side-scrolling title The Messenger.

Sea of Stars will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
