Turbo Overkill, the critically acclaimed cyberpunk boomer shooter, has gained well-deserved recognition. The early-access shooter by Trigger Happy Interactive and published by Apogee Entertainment boasts fast, fluid gameplay. On top of that, the game features quite possibly some of my favourite features in a shooter, like a leg chainsaw, among others.

With the 1.0 release of the title progressing steadily, the developers launched its second episode, which brings tons of new features. Episode 2 sees Johnny Turbo taking the fight straight to Syn, picking up from the cliffhanger ending of Episode 1.

The update adds eight whole new levels, a brand new Chainsaw Bike, a new Grappling Hook and new upgrades at the vending machines and Splice stations. The update also adds Turbo Time, a bullet-time mechanic, four new guns such as Ion Blaster and more.

The list of addition doesn’t end there. Episode 2 also features full voice acting. Featuring talents such as Patricia Summersett (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild), Jon St. John (the Duke himself), Tay Zonday (“Chocolate Rain”), Gianni Matragrano (Genshin Impact, ULTRAKILL, SMITE), and D.B. Cooper (Monster Train, Bless Online). Trigger Happy Interactive also retroactively added the voice acting to episode 1.

Turbo Overkill is available on Steam in early access. Episode 2 of the title comes as a free upgrade for existing owners. Check out the episode 2 launch trailer of Turbo Overkill episode 2 below.
