Ubisoft Shuttered Servers For 91 Titles

For 91 titles, notably Far Cry 2, Splinter Cell, as well as Just Dance, the Assassin Cree publisher switched off-network access for several consoles plus Windows systems. Ubisoft has provided a rundown of all of such closures. 91 titles have already had their network connectivity plus cooperative capabilities disabled from 2021 according to a medium article by Ubisoft on April 22nd.

Many of Ubisoft’s digital websites will be shuttered, as the company stated the year before.

No Support! No Services

These mentioned games will no more have access to any kind of in-game information or analytics, according to the developer. Ubisoft’s “Units” credits may no again be used to gain in-game prizes in any of the 91 titles that utilize the company’s Attach network.

For some reason, the French Developer said that Computer users would lose entrance to formerly earned material, while console gamers will be capable of retaining it if they preserve their old campaign saves. This is odd.

A large number of the 91 of the Publisher’s games date back to the discontinued OnLive streaming system as well as the PlayStation 2, both of which are no longer in use. As a result, some of these titles aren’t as old as they seem to be. Several are Xbox 360 titles, while others are on PS4 as well as Wii U.

For those who haven’t yet earned either multiplayer medals or accomplishments in such titles, well, that’s a little more disappointing stuff. Since the end of last week, none of it can be claimed as properly obtained.

No matter how ancient or obscure a title is, it’s still heartbreaking when it loses support for competitive PvP because major studios such as Ubisoft are generally reluctant to reveal details or instruments that would enable its audiences to continue gaming through alternative means, such as their own personal networks.

The whole roster of Ubisoft products that no longer sustain extra services, settings, or PVP can be seen on the original website entry if you need to know more.
