A few weeks ago, EA announced on their socials that they have teamed up with the Japanese developer Koei Tecmo to create a hunting game. The game, inspired by the likes of Monster Hunter, will let players hunt down beasts and such.
While they didn’t announce the name of the upcoming title, out of nowhere they dropped the official name of the game. EA and Koei Tecmo named the title “Wild Hearts”, and the official image shows a quite menacing-looking wolf howling. EA also confirmed that they will debut Wild Hearts’ first reveal trailer on September 28, 2022.

Yosuke Hayashi, executive VP of Koei Tecmo, previously spoke a bit about the partnership. He said:
“It’s an honour to be partnering with EA Originals and to have the support of a team with such an incredible track record of releasing ground-breaking new games. The EA team fully embraces our creative independence and have become invaluable partners offering both development and publishing support.”
He also said that adding the global resources of EA with Koei Tecmo will help them to reach a global audience of players and expand into overseas markets.
Jeff Gamon, GM of EA Partners also spoke about the partnership previously. He said:
“Building on the incredible success of EA Originals, which includes the recent releases of It Takes Two and Knockout City, we’re thrilled to be partnering with the amazingly talented Omega Force team. They’ve elevated the hunting genre to the next level, merging their proven talent for combat gameplay with unexpected and innovative mechanics. We can’t wait to introduce their groundbreaking new adventure to the world later this month.”
Wild Hearts haven’t disclosed the playable platforms. However, we can expect the title to release for PC and the current generation of consoles.
