Xbox has been the topic of the town in the last couple of weeks. One of the key companies in the console market in the current year, the green X logo has become synonymous with tons of things.
Furthermore, Xbox has spent their efforts and energy on numerous projects like Game Pass and Cloud Gaming. Given that the global recession is becoming a worrying problem, many think it will affect the gaming industry. However, Xbox boss Phil Spencer thinks otherwise.

In the Wall Street Journal Tech Live event, Spencer shared his optimism. He goes on to say that gaming is resilient to issues such as economic weakness. He also said that the industry is ‘recession-proof.’
“It’s proven over years, at times of economic uncertainty for families, gaming is somewhat resilient to those issues,” Spencer said.
Many industry pundits think otherwise. In a tweet from July, Mat Piscatella, executive director and industry advisor at NPD Group said otherwise,
“The video game industry has never been ‘recession-proof,’ but that line gets brought out every time the r-word is mentioned,” Piscatella said (via CNBC).
Earlier, Phil Spencer talked about various topics at the event. One of them was regarding the cloud gaming discourse. Another was about him justifying the regulatory investigations regarding the Activision Blizzard buyout.
