Xbox has always struggled to gain a foothold in the Japanese gaming market compared to its competitors. While PlayStation and Nintendo flourished, Microsoft’s console struggled. Fortunately, things are slowly changing, with the company actively trying to create a base with Japanese consumers and gamers.
In the spirit of that, they will be leveraging the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2022. The company confirmed their return to Tokyo Game Show this year, bringing a streamed presentation.
The showcase will feature updates on existing titles from Xbox Game Studios and third-party partner studios. The stream will take place on September 15 at 2 am PDT.

“We invite fans to tune in to the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Xbox Stream where you can expect to see updates on existing titles from Xbox Game Studios and titles launching from developer partners that we hope will delight players here in Japan, across Asia and around the world,” said the company.
The company will stream the showcase on their YouTube channels in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, SEA, Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, the official Tokyo Game Show channel will also broadcast it.
In their first presentation, Xbox announced Japan-centric Flight Simulator content, and last year they showcased a variety of indie games from Japanese developers and added Scarlet Nexus to Game Pass on the same day. We can also expect something along those lines this year.
Earlier in June, Xbox announced the addition of Persona games on Xbox Game Pass later this year.
