Call of Duty is arguably one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world. The first-person shooter by Activision has seen millions of players enjoying it. Most know the title for its yearly dose of multiplayer and its standalone battleroyale experience.

The games are so popular that they got Xbox and PlayStation going head-to-head against each other (which is a story for another day). Seemingly, the next Call of Duty title for the year 2025 got revealed to the public before intended.

According to Ralph Valve for What If Gaming, the known insider revealed some details for the next big title. Valve is well known for leaking information regarding the series in the past. Valve claims that Sledgehammer Games will work on a sequel for Advanced Warfare.

The 2014 Call of Duty title took the series to the future, introducing Exo Suits to the series. It allowed players to take advantage of new mobility features like Boost Jump, Dash and Boost Slam.

As per the report, the team at Sledgehammer wanted to further explore the world of 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard. Unfortunately, with the title underperforming, the team went back to the drawing board. This prompted them to make a sequel to Advanced Warfare.

Valve claims that the title will see its release sometime in 2025, following a new game from Treyarch, the Black Ops developer. For now, players are preparing to enjoy Activision’s upcoming shooter this month- Modern Warfare 2.
