Death Stranding 2 has been hyped up ever since last year and Hideo Kojima reassured the project at Game Awards 2022. Hideo Kojima did not reveal any information regarding the release date for the game during this. Many expected that the game might be released in 2023, however, that has been proven wrong by the latest leaks.
However, new information has surfaced on the internet regarding the release window of the game that Kojima had been cooking. According to ResetEra’s intel, Death Stranding 2 is likely to release around 2024 and not 2023. The cast will include Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Elle Fanning, and other known celebrities.
Death Stranding is likely to release after two years
The first Death Stranding game was released for PlayStation around 2019 and fans had been waiting for a sequel. Hideo Kojima first confirmed the sequel project back in 2021, however, gave the first look at it during the Game Awards 2022.
Now, the latest leak actually comes from Frank Aliberti, who is a senior artist at PlayStation Studios Visual Arts. The information was originally found on his ArtStation profile, however, he did remove the information immediately. However, internet scavengers were fast enough to get the proof before it is lost.
As of now, PlayStation Studios, Kojima Products, and Alberti did not make any comment on this. So it cannot be said for sure if the rumors are true. However, story development can happen after this huge leak and Kojima might update a bit about Death Stranding 2’s development status overall.
