Dying Light 2: Stay Human Bringing In DLSS Update

There has been a patch released for Dying Light 2: Stay Human that not only eliminates the Denuvo DRM system but also adds compatibility for Nvidia’s latest DLSS upsampling innovation. Techland’s 2015 predecessor is widely regarded as one of the finest survivor games of its time, so a successor seemed inevitable. It took the designer some time to release the sequel, but when it did, at the beginning of 2022, it was met with moderate success.
Given the impending release of games like Dead Island 2, the developers may be taking stock of the second entry in their parkour survival franchise, Dying Light 2. Those who aren’t fans of anti-piracy programs will be happy to hear that Techland has been monitoring and upgrading its follow-up for the last year, issuing fixes as well as the Bloody Ties DLC at the conclusion of 2022.

Community Update 2 (1.9.0) patch notes for Dying Light 2 have been posted, detailing the specific modifications and fixes that have been included. The PC edition has been updated with the normal bug patches and performance tweaks, as well as compatibility for Nvidia DLSS 3, the upsampling technology that has become common in AAA video games.
Nevertheless, the document emphasizes that a VRR monitor is necessary for the optimal experience. Another noteworthy adjustment is the developer’s elimination of external DRM. You won’t find any discussion of the program on the Steam website at all.

Denuvo, a kind of anti-piracy technology that is often debated by players, was announced to be included in Dying Light 2 just before its launch in February. Whenever problems arise, particularly while playing games on a PC, Denuvo is typically blamed. Formerly, there were cases when modders were able to get rid of the DRM, leading to much-enhanced gameplay.

In a positive turn of events, it seems that many studios are beginning to take fan feedback on DRM into consideration. After being released, games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider as well as Star Wars: Fallen Order, patched out the malicious code. A few months ago, Gotham Knights also removed Denuvo, likely to appease players who are hostile to DRM. And many Dying Light 2 followers will be glad to hear this news.
