Rockstar Games has officially announced that GTA 5 is coming to next-gen PS5 and Xbox S/X consoles on 15th March. Moreover, the developers are going to release a standalone version of GTA Online for the next-gen console players. The Online version will be free for the first three months for specific users.
The developers have announced that GTA 5 will get better graphics, 4K at 60 FPS, HDR, ray tracing, and 3D audio support. In addition, the next-gen console players will also be able to use features like advanced haptic feedback while playing the game.
Developed by Rockstar Games, GTA 5 is the latest successor of the popular Grand Theft Auto series. It is basically an open-world action-adventure game powered by Rockstar Advanced Game Engine.
Rockstar has also confirmed that if you already had GTA 5 on previous versions of PlayStation or Xbox, you can easily start from where you left the game last time by using the one-time migration system. It will transfer all the saved game data to your next-gen console.
Apart from that, the standalone GTA Online will be available freely for three months to all the PS5 users. You can also skip the story mode to play the online version directly. Also, the Hao’s Special Works auto shop will be available for upgrading vehicles on the next-gen consoles.
Along with this launch, Rockstar also confirmed that they are working on a new version of GTA probably the GTA 6. The release date isn’t confirmed yet, however, the game is indeed in the development stage.
