Rainbow Six Siege, earlier last week, revealed the next agent joining Year 7. The third season, called Operation Brutal Swarm, will introduce the new operator Grim from Singapore. While we knew what he looks like, we didn’t have information on his gadgets and skills.

During the finals of Six Berlin Major, we got a detailed look into the upcoming operator. Grim’s a master of survival and recon with military experience in stealth, security, and intelligence.

He is an operator joining Kali’s Nighthaven team and comes equipped with the Kawan Hive Launcher gadget. The gadget fires a canister containing bee bots, deploying a swarm around an area once attached to a surface. Any defender passing through that swarm or in that swarm will ping their location, and since they stick to the defender, will keep pinging until the bots run out of battery.

The swarms are useless against Mute’s jammer, Wamai’s gadget, Kaid and Bandit’s shock gadgets and Aruni’s gadget. The swarms work exceptionally well when paired with Jackal’s tracker or Lion’s EE-ONE-D since recon is what both the operators specialize in.

Grim is a 3-speed 1-health operator, and as for loadout, he uses a 552 Commando or SG-CQB as his primary weapon and a P229 as a secondary weapon. Grim will be available on day 1 to unlock for players who own the Premium track of the Battle-Pass. For everyone else, they can get the character two weeks later through renown or R6 credits.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a 5v5 operator-based tactical shooter where two teams go head-to-head against each other. In its seventh season currently, players can try the game out on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna and Stadia. Check out the reveal trailer for the new Nighthaven Operator Grim down below.
