Sony announced the news of the esteemed Sony Interactive Entertainment’s representative director and vice president Masayasy Ito’s departure through a statement on the official SIE website. As per the document, starting October 1, Ito-san will resign from his duties.
To take over his duties, director Lin Tao will look after the representative director duties alongside the vice president role. Kiichiro Urata, the current SVP Head of Japan Asia Partner Development & Relations, will be appointed as the director.
As per Bloomberg Japan, the reason for Ito-san’s resignation is because of his desire to retire.
