While most footage for the title and hands-on was only available to people travelling events like Gamescom, EVO and others, the developers are preparing to give a taste of what they are cooking to a select number of people.

During the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Online Program by Capcom, the developers announced that Street Fighter 6 will commence its first Closed Beta. The beta will take place on PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PC, and will feature cross-play between the three platforms.

The beta will also feature Ranked Match, Casual Match, the Battle Hub, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Centre and the much-needed Training Mode. Eight characters will be playable in the beta, who are:

  • Ryu
  • Ken
  • Chun-Li
  • Luke
  • Jamie
  • Guile
  • Kimberly
  • Juri

Players interested to take part in the beta need to register through the official beta registration website, which shows the step-by-step process to get a chance in the upcoming playtest. Players selected for the test will get announced on October 5th.

The closed beta will start on October 7th, 2022 and will end on October 10th, 2022. Street Fighter 6 will be available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox sometime next year. Earlier, Capcom shared a look at new characters along with the classic costumes.
