Indian game studio Supergaming is known for making fun games like their PvP mobile FPS Maskgun and online social deduction game Silly Royale, and more, enjoying success over the years (One of which I covered last year).
However, their most talked game currently is the upcoming Indo-Futuristic battle royale Indus for mobiles and other platforms. With Supergaming slowly unveiling info about the game, we get an inside look into it and what Indo-Futurism means.
The developers shared their first detailed dev diary after months of teasing on their socials. Roby John, the CEO of Supergaming, Ankush, who is writing the game, and Rishi, the communications guy for Indus, deep dive into the setting and theme and its usage of Indo-Futurism.

The team wanted to tell an authentic story and use Indus Valley as the backdrop after Ankush’s suggestion. He also mentions the team drawing inspiration from movies such as Black Panther and its usage of Afro-Futurism for the game’s premise.
They also mention that even though gameplay and story in battle royales are not at the front, they wanted the player to come back, hence the focus on player story, narration, and creating a compelling universe.
Another major highlight of the video is the snippets of the game throughout. We get a brief look at the Player Character, the gun inspection, the environment (seen at 2:17 mins), and numerous other tidbits.
Furthermore, the team also shared two new concept art for the game, which are gorgeous to look at.
More Indus news is hopefully dropping soon, so keep an eye on this space for more info.
