Felix Lengyel, recognized colloquially by his Twitch username xQc, lost his cool in the presence of hundreds of thousands of viewers after he failed to break Forsen’s Minecraft mark. Since leaving competitive Overwatch in 2019 to resume full-time broadcasting, xQc has amassed over 11 million subscribers and become one of Twitch’s most prominent individuals.
Lengyel is no stranger to the high tensions that may arise on Twitch, having broken up with broadcaster Adept in September 2022 and so causing a schism among several of the site’s most popular content providers. Due to his advocacy of betting to a largely youthful crowd, he has been repeatedly removed from the site and subjected to extensive condemnation. This Minecraft video is rather mild in comparison to some other scandals.
xQc may be seen in this video extracting flint from gravel in Minecraft. The final aim of the Minecraft speedrun is to destroy the Ender Dragon as quickly as feasible, and this would enable him to manufacture a flint and steel, allowing him to reach the Nether and proceed with the next portion of the run.
xQc has rotten experiences and isn’t able to locate any flint in time to break Forsen’s benchmark. When xQc sees that the run is over, he loses it and slams his table, which causes the timer to end.
xQc slams his desk because he can’t beat Forsen’s World Record from LivestreamFail
Twenty-seven gravel blocks were broken without the use of flint by him. If there is a 10% probability of flint in every gravel, then there is a 5.8% probability that none of those blocks will yield flint. It’s understandable why he gets so worked up. There are a lot of games out there that employ random number generators, but speedrunners find it to be very frustrating.
If lady luck isn’t on your side, no amount of training will help you succeed. This is because gamers want to know that their successes and failures in a game are due to their own talent rather than random chance, which is why many successful speedrun games focus extensively on mechanics.
Even if the broadcaster should control his anger better, it’s encouraging to see someone so invested in gaming. Due to the high degree of chance involved, Forsen’s milestone of 20:38 will be very difficult for xQc to beat. Forsen and xQc have been rivals for quite a while, and if xQc surpasses the record, Forsen will undoubtedly come back to recapture his title. The popularity of the Minecraft community means that this competition is here to stay.
