Forspoken is a forthcoming action RPG from Square Enix, and the first hour of the gameplay has been dumped on the internet in the form of a rudimentary screenshot from a PS5 rendition of the title. If you wish to go into Forspoken completely blind without knowing anything about its capabilities or undisclosed material, you shouldn’t watch the clip since doing so will ruin the game’s opening sequences and the first hour of playtime.
In Forspoken, Frey Holland, the heroine, is uprooted from her comfortable existence in New York City and sent to the magnificent but deadly mythical country of Athia, where the Break has ravaged the realm and its people. Frey, who seems unaffected by the Break, embarks on a mission to rescue Athia from its captivity and return it to its rightful grandeur.
Insider Gaming published an article with screen grab footage concerning a breach of the first hour of Forspoken. The leak originates from the ResetEra Forums, and it showcases a variety of content, including the somewhat revamped user interface, the opening sequences, a small amount of gameplay video, in-game objects, fighting, and more. Though the video doesn’t disclose much that hasn’t already been announced, it does include several gameplay elements that haven’t been demonstrated in official trailers or screenshots.
Forspoken, one of the year’s first big open-world releases, is scheduled on January 24. Fans have been waiting patiently for the action RPG to eventually be released, and now that it is, they can’t wait to get their paws on it and try out the title’s unique magical mobility mechanic and partake in the game’s supernatural fighting.
Fans all around the globe have been spending many hours in the freshly updated Forspoken demo, perfecting their skills in fighting and parkour. The demo is placed in a sandbox-like region of the world, where gamers are allowed to travel and explore at will, as well as go to designated places to complete certain sub-goals.
Despite the widespread criticism of Forspoken on the internet (because of issues like its demanding PC system requirements, implementation of Denuvo DRM, and delayed lifting of review embargo, among other things), the game’s pre-order numbers and anticipation among fans remain high.
