While waiting for Tears of the Kingdom to be released, many of you have probably been sinking as much time as possible into Breath of the Wild. The odds of any of you beating the challenge not even once, not twice, but a whopping 50 times in under a day are astronomically low, though.
Player 5 has spent the last 24 hours of their Breath of the Wild time doing just that. Presumably, someone with tremendous experience in this field, having completed a Zelda speedrun in under 25 minutes. Player 5 wished to see whether they could set a new record for the fastest game victory by repeatedly defeating the game in under a minute.
Player 5 completed one of the 50 runs in only 24 minutes and 16 seconds while taping the whole thing and without stopping to snooze. When I initially started playing Breath of the Wild, I spent about an hour trying to work out where I should go.
After playing video games for 24 hours straight and successfully completing the enormous goal they set for themselves with plenty of time to spare, Player 5 may have one of two reactions. Either go crazy with the partying or collapse from tiredness. The banner achieved both of those aims. They quietly took off their headphones after thanking spectators for holding them upright. Not at all like a streamer who just completed 50 runs of Breath of the Wild.
If you’re a part of the speedrunning world, you know that every time someone accomplishes a new feat, you wonder how it could possibly be topped. Two months prior to Player 5’s accomplishment, another speedrunner completed Breath of the Wild in less than an hour while blindfolded.
