According to a recent claim, Amazon is developing a Tomb Raider Television show featuring Fleabag writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge attached to author the screenplays. Video game translations appear to be all the craze at the moment. In spite of her prominent part in Fleabag, it has been rumored that Waller-Bridge won’t be portraying Lara Croft.
The Hollywood Reporter asserts all of this, stating that the show is now in production and is the latest product of Waller-extended Bridge’s deal with the streaming behemoth. Additionally, Waller-Bridge will serve as an executive producer with ex-head of drama and comedy Ryan Andolina and ex-head of global deals Amanda Greenblatt. While the show is currently under production, we do not yet have any information about when it could be made available to the public.
It was previously reported that Amazon was translating another video game franchise, and now we understand that Tomb Raider will join the ranks. In addition to recently confirming that a God of War TV program is in development, there is also a Fallout program on the way, and fresh smuggled set photos suggest that it will be quite close to the source material. As a result of the popularity of The Witcher shows on Netflix as well as The Last of Us on HBO, we should expect to see even more versions in the future.
Talking about video games, the coming seasons might be huge for Lara Croft and the gang, as a fresh claim from reputed industry expert Miller Ross indicated that the upcoming title in the Tomb Raider franchise may be showcased off sometime this year. It seems that Lara will soon be the focus of attention again; however, neither the time nor location is known with any certainty.
