New Game Plus modes are great ways to replay games from the start and get new content along the way with increased difficulty. With this game mode, the players are allowed to keep all the weapons, abilities, and equipment intact with harder opponents. Additionally, enemies in God of War Ragnarok also have different attack patterns and behaviors, which make the game feel new.
This trend of adding the mastery mode in first-party PlayStation games has been around for a long time. For instance games like Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Forbidden West, and so on also followed these release patterns.
Since the launch is set for Spring 2023, it can be expected the game mode will be shipping around March next year. However, the release date can range between March to June, as Santa Monica didn’t specify if it is early or late spring. Nonetheless, the game mode is surely early next year and fans cannot wait for it.
